The international construction and interior design exhibition MosBuild opens a new season of the MosBuild Architecture & Design Award (MADA) for young architects.

The award was established by the international construction and interior design exhibition MosBuild to support and promote talented young architects, so participation in MADA is free.
You can apply in six nominations:
// Public interiors. HoReCa: interiors of buildings, structures and public spaces in the hospitality industry - hotels, restaurants, cafes
// Public interiors. Commercial spaces: interiors of buildings, structures and spaces for commercial purposes – shopping centers, shops, salons, sports centers, lobbies, common areas; with the exception of office spaces
// Public interiors. Cultural and educational spaces: interiors of buildings, structures and public spaces in the sphere of culture and education – educational/cultural institutions, schools, museums, exhibitions, libraries
// Private house - architecture: individual residential houses
// Reconstruction and adaptation: reconstruction, reconceptualization, redevelopment projects
// Landscape and improvement: city parks, squares, courtyards, street pop-up projects, public pavilions, improvement.
The jury of MADA 2025 includes: Maria Akhremenkova , head of the creative department and partner of the VOX Architects studio, Alexander Vezlomtsev, co-founder of LINE Design Studio, Gulnara Safarova, architect of public spaces, head of SAFAROVA +, Marianna Petrenko, head of the BOMAR bureau, Yulia Tarabarina, art critic, editor-in-chief of the Archi.ru portal, Oleg Shapiro , partner of the WOWHAUS bureau, Alexander Balabin , founder and head of the Severin Project workshop, Mikhail Beilin , partner of the Citizenstudio bureau, Yulia Tryaskina , head and partner of UNK Interiors, Oksana Samborskaya, columnist for the Architecture and Urban Development department of the Stroitelnaya Gazeta.
Alexander Vezlomtsev believes that MADA is one of the few platforms in our country where young architects and designers can not only present their projects through photographs, but also share the thoughts and ideas that they put into their work.
“As an architect who has participated in the award for two years in a row, I can say that this is one of the most objective ways to evaluate the work of a young specialist,” noted Alexander Vezlomtsev .
"It is well known that the sphere of interiors and private houses is a kind of crucible in which future stars are forged. Why? Because there is nothing more difficult than interacting with the client directly, but there is also nothing more exciting. Not all, but many architects of the 2000s came from these spheres. And some happily stayed, because this is one of the most productive and vibrant areas for creative exploration: what is not possible there," says Yulia Tarabarina.
"Participation in the competition for young architects is a great chance to tell a wide audience about yourself. I follow the successes of the winners of previous competitions and see how their projects are scaling up and the recognition of the authors is growing. Competitions are still the most effective tool to declare yourself on the market, and MADA is the most famous and professional of them," said Gulnara Safarova .
The MosBuild Architecture & Design Award shortlist will be announced on March 12, and the defense of the finalist projects will take place online on the MosBuild Connect platform on March 25 and 26. Online voting for the MosBuild Connect Choice nomination will also take place here from March 14 to 26. The award ceremony for the winners of the award will take place at the MosBuild exhibition on April 4, 2025.
MosBuild 2025 is the largest international construction and interior exhibition in Russia, which will be attended by more than 1,300 exhibitors from Russia and other countries. In 17 sections of the exhibition, dedicated to the full cycle of construction and home improvement, visitors will be able to find everything they need for finishing and decorating buildings and premises. In 2025, the exhibition will be held from April 1 to 4 at the Crocus Expo IEC. Last year, more than 60 thousand specialists visited the exhibition.
MosBuild Connect is a business community that unites specialists in the construction, interior design and architecture industries from different regions and CIS countries, helping them establish business contacts, communicate and promote their companies' products and services, and gain new knowledge.
