The organizing committee of the MosBuild Architecture & Design Award (MADA) 2025 has announced the finalists. The shortlist includes 18 projects in 6 nominations: "Public Interiors: HoReCa", "Public Interiors: Commercial Spaces", "Public Interiors: Cultural and Educational Spaces", "Private House - Architecture", "Reconstruction and Adaptation", "Landscape and Improvement".
The shortlist included projects from 11 cities, including St. Petersburg, Moscow, Kaliningrad, Nizhny Novgorod, Omsk, and Kamchatka.
In the HoReCa category, the winners were the Chaynaya café (Saint Petersburg), the Aurora extreme hotel (Kamchatka), and the Krasa restaurant (Nizhny Novgorod). In the commercial spaces nomination, the winners were the Krestetskaya Strochka showrooms (Saint Petersburg) and Sashaskvo (Moscow), as well as the Intervglyad optics store (Omsk). In the cultural spaces category, the winners were the Na Grani and Carpet of Stories exhibitions (Moscow), expositions about Sergius of Radonezh (Sergiev Posad), and the TP-RP 2820 art space (Nizhny Novgorod). Among the architectural projects, the winners were the private houses Villa Inspirasjon, Villa Elda, and Floating House. In the area of landscaping, the winners were the Park of Light (Kaliningrad Oblast), Sverdlov Square, and Karl Marx Street (Nizhny Novgorod and Arzamas). In the nomination "Reconstruction and adaptation": reconstruction of a house (Moscow region), transformation of TP-RP 2820 into a cafe (Nizhny Novgorod) and women's clothing boutique "NUDE" (Moscow).
From March 25 to 26, 2025, the finalists will present their projects to an expert jury in an online defense format on the MosBuild Connect platform.
In parallel with the project defense, online voting will be organized for the special nomination "MosBuild Connect Choice". At the first stage, posts with finalist projects are published on the MosBuild Connect platform. Community users mark the projects they like with likes. All registered users of the platform will be able to take part in the voting by voting for any of the 18 projects. The first stage will last from March 14 to 19.
At the second stage, a shortlist of 3 publications that have received the most likes will be published on the MosBuild Connect platform as a separate post with the possibility of voting for one of the projects. You can vote for the winner in a special nomination until March 26.
The names of the winners will be announced on April 4, 2025, as part of Russia's largest construction and interior exhibition MosBuild. The winners will receive commemorative signs and prizes from the competition partners.
MosBuild Architecture & Design Award (MADA) is an annual award given to the best architectural and design projects that demonstrate a high level of creativity, functionality and innovative approach. The jury of the award includes leading architects, designers, urbanists and representatives of the construction industry.
